Our Courses

The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre (PPC) offers training programs in Canada and abroad to each of the principle sectors involved in peace operations – civilian, military and police – in a multinational, multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. Gender and human security dimensions are incorporated into all course materials, as are ethical imperatives in field operations and inter-cultural awareness.

As the field of contemporary peace operations is constantly changing, our course materials are updated on a regular basis to ensure relevancy to the needs of participants and organizations in the field. One way we meet this high standard is by drawing on the capacity of peace professionals themselves: the PPC delivers courses using an activity-based learning methodology – an active teaching method built on respect for the existing experience, skills and knowledge of participants.

Tailor-made courses can also be developed for a wide array of client groups. Send us an email for more information.
